This portfolio highlights a few projects that show how I think and what I actually deliver. Each one sits at the intersection of brand, systems, and communication—from podcasting and AI tools to website architecture and early venture work. The goal is simple: give you enough evidence to decide whether you want to work with me.
FEATURED PROJECTS
These are the projects I’d want professors, recruiters, and collaborators to see first.
EmrahX Podcast — Identity, Craft, and Digital Presence
As part of MB 351 (Crafting Digital Identity), I planned, hosted, and produced a podcast episode with Professor Page focused on how students can build credible digital identities. I handled concept development, outline, recording, post‑production decisions, and show notes, aiming for something practical enough to help peers and structured enough to show employers how I think.
GAMMA Bot — AI as a Marketing Co‑Pilot
For MB 351, I designed and documented a marketing “bot” using the GAMMA framework to help students and small teams structure campaigns quickly. Instead of pretending AI is magic, I treated it as a structured assistant: clear prompts, boundaries, and quality checks. The project focused on making AI outputs more usable, not just more impressive on screen.
EmrahX Website Reset — From Chaos to a Coherent Hub
After years of scattered blogs and “slay” branding, I rebuilt emrahjusufoski.com as a focused hub: Home, About, Portfolio, Blog, Podcast, For Professionals, and clear paths for different audiences. The reset involved information architecture, copy, accessibility basics, and sustainable publishing habits. This site is the live artifact of that work.
Youth & Climate Architecture — DiliSprouts, LCOY Armenia, UNICEF
Before Skidmore, I co‑created and supported several youth‑led initiatives: DiliSprouts (a school‑garden and nutrition project in Tavush, Armenia), the inaugural LCOY Armenia (youth climate conference linked to YOUNGO), and digital campaigns with UNICEF North Macedonia (#SadiSiDoma, climateedu.mk). Across these, I focused on admissions systems, comms, workshop design, and making impact work feel structured, not just inspirational.
SELECTED WRITING
I write regularly about identity, systems, and ambition. Here are a few themes that show how I think.
Identity baseline: building a life that holds under pressure
A post about moving from “aesthetic” and constant rebrands to a stable baseline: what I focus on, how often I publish, and how I want my work to be read by employers, collaborators, and the communities I’m part of.
Algorithms, black boxes, and why judgment still matters
A reflection on everyday algorithmic systems (feeds, filters, hiring tools) and why blindly trusting them is dangerous—especially for students and early‑career candidates. I use one real‑world example and explain how I try to use AI and algorithms without outsourcing my brain.
Building from constraint: what youth and climate projects taught me
A synthesis post on what I learned running DiliSprouts, supporting LCOY Armenia, and working with UNICEF: how to move from nice‑sounding ideas to projects that account for budget, logistics, school realities, and actual youth needs.
HOW TO WORK WITH ME
If you’re reading this as a professor, recruiter, or collaborator, my best work tends to sit where clarity, story, and systems meet. I like projects where there is a real audience, stakes, and a clear definition of success.
For internships, roles, or serious collaborations, start with the For Professionals page. For speaking, student‑to‑student support, or lighter collaborations, the Contact page is enough. If you’re not sure where you fit, send a short email and I’ll point you in the right direction.

Starting in 2027, I plan to relocate to Milan, Italy to complete advanced studies in executive‑level (C‑suite) leadership for Made in Italy brands, with a focus on strategy, operations, and brand stewardship within the Italian fashion ecosystem.
As part of that path, I aim to:
- Join a Condé Nast / Vogue‑affiliated program (through the Vogue fashion college in London and its partners) focused on fashion business and creative direction at an executive level.
- Work in collaboration with Schiaparelli and other heritage and contemporary houses as part of industry‑embedded training and strategic projects.

RESEARCH
The Exclusivity Paradox & Psychological Ownership
The Exclusivity Paradox: How Artificial Scarcity in Digitally‑Marketed Exclusive Communities Creates Psychological Ownership and Sustains Brand Loyalty Among Non‑Members
Marketing research study – MB351 / Consumer Behavior
This project experimentally tested how “transparent exclusivity” on social media (public member feeds, visible perks, waitlists) affects non‑members. Using a two‑condition experimental design with a fictional club, The Collective, I examined how high vs. low visibility of member experiences shaped psychological ownership and loyalty among people explicitly excluded from membership. The study found that high visibility of member experiences increased psychological ownership and willingness to wait, support, and advocate for the brand—even without access—highlighting how denial itself can sustain desire when hope and visibility remain high.

EV Subsidies, Externalities, and Policy Design
Subsidies for Electric Vehicles (EVs): A Comparative Policy Analysis of New York State’s “Drive Clean Rebate”
Microeconomics policy proposal
In this project, I used New York’s “Drive Clean Rebate” as a treatment case and Pennsylvania as a control to analyze how point‑of‑sale EV subsidies interact with market trends, externalities, and consumer behavior. I compared EV registrations over time, linked the $2,000 state rebate and federal tax credits to the social cost of carbon, and evaluated whether the subsidy level is justified by emissions reductions over a 10‑year vehicle lifespan. The work connects microeconomic theory, climate policy, and practical program design.

Platform Strategy & Profitability in Audio Streaming
Comprehensive Business Analysis of Spotify: Strategic Evaluation and Recommendations
12,500‑word strategy analysis – Junior Strategy Analyst role
This report applies SWOT, 5C, 4P, and financial analysis frameworks to Spotify’s business model, with a focus on scale, thin margins, and dependence on major labels. I assessed revenue composition, cost structure, geographic exposure, and competitive dynamics (Apple, Amazon, YouTube), then modeled a path to sustainable 7–10% operating margins via revenue diversification (podcasts, audiobooks, artist services), gross margin improvements, and disciplined operating leverage. The paper closes with targeted recommendations on pricing, partnerships, and platform evolution.

Human Trafficking, Governance, and Multilateral Enforcement
Multinational and Multilateral Efforts to Prevent Human Trafficking
IA101 – International Affairs research essay
This essay evaluates how instruments like the Palermo Protocol, the U.S. Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA), the EU Anti‑Trafficking Directive, and ASEAN’s ACTIP function in practice against global trafficking networks. I compared formal commitments with enforcement realities—corruption, weak judiciaries, limited investigative capacity—and argued for hybrid models that combine treaties, targeted sanctions, due‑diligence laws, tech partnerships, and survivor‑centered approaches. The piece connects international law, governance gaps, and policy design.

Community Service, LGBTQ+ Advocacy, and Structural Change
Bridging the Gap: The Transformative Power of Community Service in LGBTQ+ Advocacy
EN105 – Civic writing & social impact essay
This paper examines how community‑based initiatives (shelters, crisis lines, peer networks) complement policy‑level LGBTQ+ advocacy. Drawing on data from The Trevor Project, Ali Forney Center, and homelessness research, I argued that volunteer‑driven service both fills immediate gaps (housing, mental health support) and reshapes volunteers’ sense of civic responsibility. The essay positions community service as a bridge between individual support and structural reforms in housing, mental health, and anti‑discrimination law.
